He was born October, 1897 in Saundersville, GA, but didn't find his calling until the early 1930s when he met his teacher, Master Fard Muhammad, outside of Detroit, MI. Upon his teacher's departure, Elijah Muhammad built what is known today as the Nation of Islam. His labor and vision is responsible for generating the greatest impact of Islam in North America and producing the greatest revolution in America without lifting or firing a single gun.
