BACKED BY DECADES of experience as an Executive Director/CEO of multiple nonprofits, Cindy Walters, MSSW, ACNP guides Executive Directors to take their agencies to the next level. As a coach, consultant, and mentor, she shares proven strategies to build capacity, strengthen the organization’s systems and procedures, and demonstrate results for clients and community. This enables nonprofits to increase fundraising, serve more clients, and increase their impact.
Cindy’s unique skill set directly aligns with the needs of small nonprofits – those with a budget of less than $1 million. Her experience includes leadership roles at the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Camp Fire, Inc., Golden Key International Honour Society, and YWCA. As a former national trainer with the American Red Cross, she trained new Executive Directors. As a volunteer, she served on the Board of Directors for nonprofits in Texas and Colorado and is an active member of the local Rotary Club.
In addition to her hands-on experience as a nonprofit leader, she earned a graduate degree in social work planning and administration, which gives her the professional credential of MSSW. She is an Advanced Certified Nonprofit Professional (ACNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and has completed several coaching programs.
Cindy supports Executive Directors through her coaching services and various courses, such as the Nonprofit Automated Edge. She also consults on special projects, such as Board retreats, strategic planning, and teambuilding workshops. Each service ensures Executive Directors gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful in their leadership roles, so they can build capacity and make a greater impact in their community.
